Bass, Vocals
Jason Vorherr started his career playing in numerous cover bands as a bass guitarist and also as a solo act across Melbourne in the late 80s. Since then, his career has flourished from the Melbourne Pub scene to large arenas and festivals backing many of Australia’s most loved entertainers such as Daryl Braithwaite, Glenn Shorrock, Brian Cadd, Russell Morris, Ross Wilson and James Reyne, to name only a few.
Jason’s career as a backing musician started with a phone call from Graeham Goble asking Jason to join the original members of the Little River Band, “Birtles, Shorrock, Goble” in their comeback tour. That exposure illustrated Jason’s solid, melodic bass playing and vocal harmony style and he has become one of the country’s most sought after bass guitarists.
Currently, Jason works backing Daryl Braithwaite in his solo career and also does plenty of voice over and session work. Throughout this exciting career, Jason has also been developing his skills as a singer/song writer, having written and released a children’s album and more recently has written the title track on Glenn Shorrock’s latest album, Rise Again.
